Especially if your space is limited, the arrangement of any room is critical. When it comes to arranging your living room furniture, you want to make sure it has a nice flow, has ease of interacting, and comfortable seating for all to enjoy an entertainment center without breaking their neck.
The best way to start arranging your living room furniture is to start with a focal point. A focal point is the anchor of the room and should be on a wall or flush with a wall. It can be a fireplace, an entertainment center, window, or even a picture. You living room furniture will be placed strategically in front of your focal point.
Depending on the size of your room will determine just how much furniture the room can hold comfortable and elegantly. It will also determine the spacing between living room furniture pieces. Chairs should not be any further than 8 feet apart. Any further makes it impossible to have intimate conversation.
A table should be within reach of every seating piece and if possible, some form of lighting. When using a coffee table to provide seating table space, make sure there is ample legroom between seat and table. A good rule of thumb is leave at least 14 to 18 inches from seating to table.
Side tables are a great way to provide table space without having to use legroom. Make sure that the table is as tall as the arm of the seating furniture that they will be set by. Make sure there is ample room for traffic flow. There is nothing worse than maneuvering around a room where you risk tripping over people’s feet or knocking a table over.

What a beautiful entertainment center. I'd love to have that much storage. Heck, I'd love to have an entertainment center that looks like that. I have a pretty small one and unfortunately that's all I have room for. We're looking for a bigger house, maybe then I can upgrade our center with yours.
ReplyDeleteThe 3 Piece Victorian Style Entertainment Center would look hot in our living room. It's a large area so there is plenty of room for a big unit like this. My wife has several statues that would look great on display and we can always use the extra storage place. My only question is, how long will it take to arrive?
ReplyDeleteWe came to this site looking for a new entertainment center and we found the 3 Piece Victorian Style Entertainment Center. What a find! We both really like the looks and the storage is a much needed commodity. Our last house had a closet off of the living room but this one does not. We didn't think we would miss it but we sure have. This will help tremendously.
ReplyDeleteThis has got to be one of the most attractive entertainment centers I've ever seen. The storage is enough to die for, almost! Finally, a lighted space to display my prized angels. And, the DVD's and VHS tapes will no longer be visible. I can hardly wait to see what it looks like.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting ready to sell my home and I'll be moving to a much smaller one but I really love this entertainment center. I might have to make finding a place with a large enough living room my #1 priority.
