I remember the first time I saw one of these. It was sitting at the front door at my Aunt's farm house. They did not have indoor plumbing at the time. See where this is going? Yep, I thought it was an inside toilet. The outhouse was out the back door and down towards the barn. Except for the mirror, in my mind anyway, it looked like this. My family still reminds me of this, 40 years later!
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to come up with a solution for my front entryway. There is no place to sit to put on or remove boots and shoes and really no place to hang up coats. A hall seat would be great right there and it has the added bonus of having a mirror for those last chance looks before opening the door to guests.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for a hall chair for my back hallway. I have a husband and 2 boys and with a hook to hang a coat on, they end up in a pile on the floor. The 36" Mission Hall Seat is just the right size, has 4 hooks and storage with a mirror. What more could I ask for, except compliance from my family.
ReplyDeleteMy 7 year old son just walked behind me and looked at the hall seats an asked my why I would be looking at thrones. I just smiled and told him Sunday was Father's Day. He looked at me kinds of funny and said 'Oh', and kept on walking.
ReplyDeleteI have a small hall right at the front door and not much room to put anything there for coats. I just found the 30" hall seats and I went to measure. Great fit for a great looking hall seat. I'm putting in my order for my birthday present. That way it will be here before coat weather. I'm so excited.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a hall seat with a mirror. I bought one several years ago and it doesn't have one. My sister has asked me several times to sell her this one because she likes it so much. I guess that would be one way to get rid of it. I'll have to wait until after she gets it to replace it with one of yours. She'll be upset with me, but I'll just remind her that she got what she's wanted for years!
ReplyDeleteI have a hall seat I've had for many years but it doesn't have a mirror. I wish I had found yours first. I've looked at mine and tried to figure out a way to attach a mirror but I don't think it would look right.
