  1. I've seen some beautiful Amish quilts. I actually got to see a group of the women working on a quilt. Usually, too many cooks spoil the broth, but it was hard to tell where one picked up and the other left off. The stitches couldn't have been any more uniform if they had been made by a machine. I was totally impressed and I wish I had that skill. I can barely sew on a button!

  2. I had an Amish quilt that my Mom bought me for a wedding present. I kept it folded across the end of our bed, more for show than anything. It was beautiful and I was very proud of it. My lunk of a husband left the door open and his 2 hyperactive pups pulled it off of the bed and all but shredded it. I was sick. He promised to replace it and now seems as good a time as any. The dogs have been banned from the upstairs rooms all together so it should be safe enough now.

  3. A quilt with a warranty? Are you kidding? I'm sure the Amish are the only ones who would do that. I actually have one and am considering buying a second one for the extra bedroom. They are so beautiful that I can't imagine keeping it in a case. I want it on a bed in full view.

  4. My youngest sister is getting married and I asked her what she wanted. She said, "surprise me." I think an Amish quilt will do just that. Mom has had one that she got for a wedding present and Chrissy has always admired Mom's. I think it will knock her socks off!

  5. I'd love to have one. We have an Amish community pretty close to where we live. I love to buy their noodles and bread. They have several quilts on display at the store and quite a few patterns to choose from if you prefer. The quality and precision is unbelieveable. You really have to see it to be able to fully appreciate it.

  6. Mom's birthday is the end of the month. I never know what to get her. An Amish quilt would be an awesome gift. She'll be 95 and always sleeps with some type of blanket. Her comforter is wearing out and a quilt will brighten up her area too. Thanks for the cool idea.
