Amish Furniture Builds Connections

Do you own a piece of furniture that was handed down throughout the years of generations? Like an old grandfather clock that sits in a corner of your home, and although the clock mechanisms stopped working many moons ago, you wouldn’t dare part with it because or the memories it held or what it represents. It used to be many people had a special piece of furniture from a elder loved one that had passed on. It used to be that furniture manufactures took more pride in their creations to where they lasted to pass down throughout the family tree. That is no longer the case for most manufactures of furniture. However, you can always count on the Amish in their consistency of creating high quality durable furniture that will last for many generations.

Owning a new piece of Amish made furniture may not mean much to you at first other than having a great piece of furniture in your home, but as the years pass on, that piece of furniture starts building memories. An end table can remind a now grown man of the many times his mother warned him it was not his launching pad for his toys. A buffet can be that reminder of the special dinnerware used for family gatherings. A beautiful bedroom set can remind a young bride to be the many wonderful years of marriage her parents had and the safety and security she felt crawling into bed with them as a child. Although you may be purchasing a beautiful piece of Amish furniture, but that is not all you are getting. You are getting a piece of furniture that will hold memories for loved ones; one that can be passed own to continue creating more memories for more loved ones, and creating a special piece of furniture that no matter what, a later generation would not dare part with because of its memories and what it represents. Don’t just buy furniture to feel a space, buy Amish furniture to build connections.

  1. I love the dark shade of the furniture in the photo. I've really light colored oak furniture most of my life and I'm ready for a change.

  2. I like the sharp lines and the rich looking finish of the bedroom set shown above. I usually just keep my bedroom door shut because I don't want anyone to see in. If I had this setup I'd leave the door open inviting a quick look-see!
