Amish Furniture Styles

Mission Style - A simplistic style emphasizing thin rectangular lines with flat square surfaces and edges along with plain hardware. The design style was introduced to America in the early 20th Century by followers of the Arts and Crafts Movement, who emphasized simple, utilitarian design along with the reduction of excessive decoration and ethical craftsmanship.

What is "Organic" and is it for our family?

We offer an "organic" option on our line of baby and youth furniture. Organic means the product is 100% free of VOC's and Carbon neutral. There are NO chemicals, NO preservatives, food safe along with high environmental standards.

Why the higher price?

In order to be compliant, the wood is dried in a "natural Kiln", stained with a special finish by hand and all the pieces are solid wood. Our normal backs and drawer bottoms are cabinet grade plywood made here in the USA. They don't use a carbon neutral "resin" to bond the plywood, so we had to build those pieces from solid wood.

The extra lumber cost, labor and finish costs reflect the up charge in price.

If you have questions about organic visit their website at www.greenseal.org

Please allow 12 weeks for delivery when selecting the organic finish.

Queen Anne Style
- A style of furniture that arose in Great Britain during the reign of Queen Anne (1702-14) and therefore was named after her. Queen Anne style of furniture is decorative and ornamental with subtle simplicity. The legs are cabriole, sometimes referred to as Paw Foot or Ball-and-Claw Foot, which means they are double curved and tapered with a flared outward foot.

  1. There are so many different styles to choose from that I see no reason to look anywhere else when I want quality furniture.

  2. I just ordered the Queen Anne Jewelry Armoire for my wife for her birthday. She's been using a couple of my dresser drawers to store her jewelry and it takes forever for her to find just what she's looking for. Hopefully the jewelry armoire will organize her jewelry as well as free up my dresser drawers.

  3. I have just the spot for that Shaker Hall Seat. I live in a bi-level and the landing is bare. I think it will look terrific and will be functional as well.
