Decorating a Recreational Room

If you have children then you know the importance of a recreational room. Your young children will get a lot of use in the recreational room. You as a family will spend many hours downstairs in your rec room so you want it to look nice. It is also a great way to keep your upstairs looking nice and neat when most of your children’s toys are downstairs. This is especially great if you have unexpected guests pop in.

When your children are in elementary school they may have friends come over and spend the night. The recreational room is a fun room for the kids to play together. You may want to watch a movie all together in the rec room.

As your children become teenagers the recreational room is a safe haven for your teens to have fun with their friends. It will give you as a parent peace of mind knowing where your children are.

To decorate your rec room you may want to add a pool table. Hours of fun will be spent playing pool for those of all ages. Some people add a weight room to the rec room to get maximum exercise. A must have is to add an entertainment center. The 4 piece Heritage Wall Unit with/Adj. Bridge for wide screen TV’s will add style and class to your rec room. Listen to music or curl up on the couch and watch a movie with your loved ones.

  1. I look at all of the storage possibilities in this 4 piece Heritage wall unit and I can imagine all of the VHS and DVD movies out of sight. Right now they are in stacks along the wall next to the tv stand. Of course when the kids start looking for one movie in particular the stacks end up scattered all over the place. This would be the answer to my biggest storage problem and would look great too.

  2. We just finished our basement and turned it into a rec room. There's a pool table and bar at one end and a couch and chairs at the other. We were looking for an entertainment center and considering putting up shelves for storage. When we found the Heritage 4 piece wall unit, we knew it was the answer to both of our problems. It will dress up the area too. It should be delivered in the next couple of days and we can't wait to get it put in and start using it.

  3. I just got the OK to buy an entertainment center and I just found the one I want. I have to do some quick measurements but I can make it fit even if I have to move a wall!

  4. You go Missy! I have just the place to put this entertainment center and it doesn't require moving any walls. But, I can certainly understand the sentiment!

  5. Who wouldn't want the Heritage Wall Unit sitting in their home? All that storage space and good looks too. That's a combination that hards to beat, so why try?

  6. This is the perfect entertainment center for our livingroom. It's elegant looking and has all of the storage space we need. It's about twice as big as the one we have been using so it will be a welcome addition to the room.

  7. This would look totally awesome in our recreation room. We have an entertainment center in there now but it's pretty plain and really old. I've got to start working on my hubby to convince him that we really need this new one.
